What’s New in SOLIDWORKS 2018?
While I was down and out quite a few things happened. This includes the official release of SOLIDWORKS 2018 I know, Dassault started talking publicly about 2018 at the end of September. However, I am here to cut through the fluff and share my favorite things about this new release!
SOLIDWORKS 2018 provides four new end-to-end process solutions that simplify the interactions between disciplines across product development to improve your business outcomes. Accelerate innovation and grow your business with the following new processes:
Design to Manufacturing Process. A complete solution to bring your ideas to market.
Distributed Data Management Process. The right data, at the right time, for the right people.
Designer to Analyst Process. Analysis tools for every step of the design process.
Electrical Design and Internet of Things (IOT) Process. Connect your smart devices to your customers.
The developers of SOLIDWORKS worked hard to implement new features and to fix features based on your requests…. and I think they succeeded!
SOLIDWORKS 2018 – So Many New and Updated Features!
There are too many updates to talk about it in a single post. Plus, I want to focus on my favorite things about SOLIDWORKS 2018 and spend some time discussing why they kick-ass.
Here is the agenda, as I take a dive into SOLIDWORKS 2018:
- The User Interface
- Sketching and Part Modeling Changes
- Assemblies, Weldments, and SOLIDWORKS Costing
- Drawings, eDrawings, and DimXpert
My articles will not encompass everything. If you’d like to take a look at all the updates, fixes, and new features, check out the “What’s New” document from Dassault.
