imageI am currently working up some data on InventorCAM’s High Speed Surfacing module and simulation. It might actually be the easiest CAM engine to get a project up and running with.

I remember arguing with the company reps how easy wasn’t always the best, especially considering its well established competitors. They asked me if I’d used their HSS module.

After a few runs with different configurations, the output is beautiful and the toolpaths were super configurable. There are still some major options that I have yet to go through before I can complete the report.

Another item that I need to do is load up all my machine data and test out the InventorCAM clearance and impact analysis more carefully. This part of the simulation has been really useful in the past, and getting the complete tool holder geometry added is really important when another axis is added.
