When installing two rolls of paper at once in the Océ Plotwave 350, you need to close the drawer between rolls. This allows the Océ to get the roll setup. When you open the drawer again, the installed roll should retract.
In certain circumstances, the Plotwave won’t retract the installed roll to the rest position. This is rare, and to Océ’s credit, it has been the most trouble free large format printer, actually, any printer I’ve ever used.
If the Plotwave won’t feed both rolls,
- simply unload the problem roll (such that the paper is free of the roller and sensor), and close the drawer.
- Adjust the settings in the wizard for the already installed roll.
- Once the machine is at rest, Open the drawer again.
The Plotwave should retract the installed roll to the rest position. This will now allow you to feed the second roll.
