imageThe CAD Society presented the 2011 Joe Greco Community Award to Martyn Day at this years Conference on the Future of Engineering Software (COFES). He has been involved in the design industry for over 20 years, and is one of the most knowledgeable individuals regarding the industry at large. Martyn Co-founded X3Dmedia where he manages and edits numerous publications including Develop3D, one of the design industry’s most ubiquitous publications to date.

Martyn is a great friend and has shown me (and all of us) design’s “the rest of the story”. His ability to dig into a subject and come out with the often hidden truth is impressive.

Carl Bass, CEO, Autodesk, says, ”Martyn has been a strong and outspoken advocate for the community of users – a curmudgeon with wit who speaks out for what he believes in. I’m very pleased to see this award given to Martyn.”

Past winners of this award include Roopinder Tara, Richard Doyle, Evan Yares, Michael Payne, Sean Dotson, Chris Yessios, Ralph Grabowski, and others.
