Here’s a quick tip I picked up while working with my surfaces in Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics 2012 (formerly Algor). Sometimes it’s a bear to see how surfaces are broken up, and for which ever reason this is important to you, there a cool trick that you can use to help distinguish between them visually.Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics 2012

 

Color By Surface

Navigate on the ribbon as follows:

View Tab > Appearance Panel > Color By flyout > Surface

That’s all there is to it. The complete list is Part, Surface, Layer, and Edge.
