This tip is for those who are using Autodesk Inventor to Unfold and Refold odd flange shapes in the Sheet Metal environment. As many of you know, you cannot mirror these features properly. As a result, flanges such as the depicted here would have to be duplicated manually.
I did find a work around for this where the parts are completely symmetrical.
Mirror the Solid
As you can imagine, if the part is not symmetrical at the time of mirroring, this option will not work. What I wanted to know is if the mirrored solid would cause the flat pattern to be fouled up.
The flat pattern came out fine. Give it a go.
