Autodesk are launching their 2014 product line today via webcast. In years gone by they invited media (Professional press & bloggers) from around the world to events in the USA so they could take a look at their new product range face to face, talk to the product managers and senior Autodesk management. But most importantly it was an opportunity for the media to talk to innovative customers and understand how they are using Autodesk’s products, it will be interesting to see how Autodesk replace that important interaction. Last year they ran a webcast alongside the media event, it appears that was viewed as a success, so this year they have gone all out with the webcast. If you want to take a look here’s a link its also being streamed over on Facebook if you prefer. Senior Vice President Amar Hanspal will present Autodesk’s next generation design, engineering and entertainment tools. We should get to see some fancy technical marketing showing Autodesk’s vision of new industry workflows across the desktop and cloud.
Ahead of the webcast Autodesk have gone live with their new website which shows off their new brand and imagery in style. Its fresh, full of information and growing on me the more I rummage about. Here’s a shot of it if you don’t have time to poke about right now, but if you were to ahead of the webcast you might find some sneaky pointers of what’s coming up today (Cadline found some goodies already today):
Design and Motion will bring you some more information throughout the day if you aren’t able to watch the webcast. I can’t wait.
