Nemetschek Scia | Learning About the Company

Nemetschek is a software vendor that supplies Architectural and Engineering software to various firms around the world. Up until recently, however, their sales were mostly reserved to Europe. One title many may know is ArchiCAD, developed by their subsidiary Graphisoft. We are looking at their subsidiary Scia, and its structural analysis software named Scia Engineer.

Nemetschek User Contest 2009 Book

I just received a package from the company containing some press write-ups in hardcopy, as well as a gorgeous hard cover book titled “Nemetschek Engineering User Contest 2009”. Really nice book containing 271 pages of the participants and their engineering projects.

I’ll be reading through this cool book while I’m waiting to get a new install of Scia Engineer for the Lenovo D30. There’s no sense in letting the hammer sit idle during this evaluation. After all, that’s why it’s here.

Nice to see that our international contest book is so much appreciated. An on-line flipping book can be viewed here: http://books.nemetschek-scia.com/UC2009/

Just for your information, we started our 8th user contest “Inspirations in Engineering” on January 1st 2013 and we intend to have an even more impressive, hardcopy book ready for free distribution somewhere end of September this year.

Users of all Nemetschek Structural Software such as Scia Engineer, Scia Steel, Allplan Engineering, Allplan Precast and Frilo Statics can participate and upload their projects on http://www.nemetschek-scia.com/contest. We wish all participants good luck.
