Autodesk university is getting pretty close, and is marked by a great deal of excitement in the design community. This year there have been an increase in the number of contests associated with the event, and opportunities for prizes and for some people to get to AU for free. Autodesk University registration for the general design community is open today, 9/15/2010. For those that don’t know yet, rooms at the conference hotels and class availability are first come first serve. In 2008, the conference hotel booked solid before general registration opened. How? well, it was those AUGI and subscription people that did it. They get first dibs before general community. There may still be rooms available at the convention hotel, Mandalay Bay. I had a busy morning trying to help a friend, and it go me thinking ahead to Autodesk university 2010. I know that I go ape every year in late November because of AU in general. I packed up and got a cab to the Airport. My sea bag now weighted down with a few extra books and a Laptop bag was a bit hefty. I wondered how much it would weigh, and if there was an additional fee.
